i should qualify that statement as well to note that a graphical package manager would be just as essential for non-technical users - if there is not yet any graphical package manager, then there is little need for a graphical installer either, as the distro is clearly targeting only "power users" and very much excluding the largest group of potential users which are not so comfortable on the command line
