As I understand Ludovic's and Chris's contributions (and I share these concerns), a problem with some parts of the GCD is that rather than sharpening things, they make them more fuzzy, replacing concrete rules by somewhat vague wording (see examples on the Codeberg PR). This is how I interpret most of Chris's statements preferring the current formulations in the manual. While the GCD makes steps forward in particular concerning the maintainers, it also appears to make steps backward concerning other roles. Andreas
