Well, from my understanding, it has not been forgotten but skipped on
purpose. :-) I don’t find back the message, but I remember a discussion
when releasing v1.5 (maybe at Guix Days?), that it’ll be too short for a
new release on June 2026 – exactly as Rutherther explained: I’d mean to
start on March, etc.
Somehow, GCD 005 had been too optimistic with:
To move onto this cycle the first release would be a little
later: aiming for the November of 2025, with a short cycle to
release in June 2026.
That’s why, from my understanding of release v1.5, all is shifted from
one year. The release of June 2026 is skipped in order to focus on
releasing on November 2026 and thus synchronize with the schedule for
then releasing every June.
I don’t know. :-)
Cheers,
