Hi, The language, tenor and emotion around AI, GCD's and so forth is getting a bit hot and a lot of accusations are being thrown around. This feels out of character for this group!
Up until now we've done well as a community focusing on things that _join_ us together. We are all humans, joined by interest in technology, Free Software and Guix - lets not make the mistake of focusing on the shades of those things that separate us. I've had my share of flamewars, the sense of being utterly right, utterly certain, finally vindicated and the joy of blowing the idiot at the other end of the email into smithereens. ... it rarely ends well. And, it's always embarrasing when you meet again in RL and realise that for the most part you have lots in common and actually on further thought you probably were acting like an over-tired toddler! Lets take a beat, let the emotions calm, breath in and out, and consider whether that next email you're about to send is the best version of yourself ... We can figure out the next move, we can learn and improve as a project. Let's be kind and courteous to each other ... we don't need to fan the flames - because you know we're all in this together! Just a thought, Steve / Futurile
