La fiesta ya pas�, pero de todas formas es valedero el anuncio. Slink,
Debian 2.1, fue congelado el jueves pasado. Por distintos problemas con la
red (cuando?!?), todav�a no he logrado sincronizar el archivo en simula con
master.debian.org, as� que si est�n considerando hacer el upgrade, es bueno
que esperen un par de d�as.
A partir de la version 2.0 se espera poder sacar una versi�n estable de
Debian cada 4 meses. Como recordaran muchos, Debian 2.0 sali� a mediados de
agosto, y se espera Debian 2.1 para los primeros dias de diciembre.

unstable -> frozen -> stable
unstable es la distribuci�n en desarrollo, y est� sujeta a cambios
constantes (es en ese sentido que es inestable -- el contenido cambia)
pasado cierto tiempo, unstable se convierte en frozen, y el �nico c�digo
nuevo que entra es aquel cuya finalidad es arreglar pulgas
una vez que el n�mero de pulgas cr�ticas para la salida ("release critical
bugs") se ha reducido a 0, frozen se convierte en stable y es instalada
masivamente a lo largo del planeta ;-)
Cualquiera de las etapas est� disponible en forma p�blica siempre, as� que
si quieren probar "el siguiente Debian" pueden instalar unstable.
