Just a quick note (I will release the change log a little later). 1.13r3
is out at the usual places (ftp.solucorp.qc.ca/pub/linuxconf/devel/...).
It contains one big new features: bind 8 support.

It has been tested by me for now. Here are few things you have to know
about it.

-the dnsconf module support both bind 4 and bind 8. It looks for
/etc/named.conf first (bind 8) and then /etc/named.boot. So if you have
both file installed, linuxconf will use the bind 8 version.

-It will rewrite the file it has read. I mean, if it found a bind 8
named.conf file, it will stick to that.

-the interface has not changed. Linuxconf only support the stuff in bind 8
that map one to one to the current features it was supporting with bind 4.
This should not be a problem for people who wants to move from bind 4 +
linuxconf to bind 8 + linuxconf. It is a problem for those who wants to
play with new features of bind 8. If you had those features by hand in
named.conf, linuxconf will produce error message and won't be able to use
the file properly.

Note that this is not really a spec of what I want to do but represent
what is working now in 1.13r3.

-In the future, I expect to support few of the bind 8 features and options
and let the unsupported one (unsupported at the user interface level) go
through (linuxconf will read and write them properly).

-There is an issue with creating a new DNS. For now, if you enter the
dnsconf menu and there is no dns configured, linuxconf will create a bind
4 configuration (caching dns). I have to work on that area to probe which
version of bind is installed. While using rpm for example is pretty easy,
it is not 100% reliable

-as it is not available on all system (slackware for one)
-and the user may have installed from source.

One quick solution would be to "ask" the user, except that many users
creating a dns with linuxconf have no clue about bind 4 or 8.

Anyway, give it a try and keep us posted!

PS: 1.13r3 also fixed the askrunlevel problem when it was requiring the
root password needlessly.

Have fun!
