MOSIX MO6 Beta for Linux 2.2.1 released
 Feb 14th, 13:20:35

"MOSIX is a software tool for supporting cluster computing. [At] the core of the MOSIX technology are adaptive resource sharing (load-balancing and memory ushering) algorithms and a preemptive process migration mechanism, that allow a cluster of PCs (workstations and servers) to work cooperatively as if part of a single system. The MOSIX software technology provides some SMP/NUMA functionalities in a scalable cluster of PCs, for the efficient execution of sequential and parallel applications."

The released configuration supports up to six processors using Linux kernel 2.2.1.
