The Linux Story:
Where did Linux come from? Linus Torvalds, a young student at the University of Helsinki in Finland, initially created Linux as a hobby. Linus had an interest in Minix, a small UNIX system, and decided to develop a system that far exceeded the Minix standards. He released his first version (0.02) in 1991 and worked continuously until 1994 when version 1.0 of the Linux Kernel was released.   Read More..
