The second method, which wasn't explained by Mr. Oscar, is to have a program running a
second operating system on a virtual machine, for example, you have linux as your host
operating system, and in a window you run window$, as a guest operating system, you
can use several programs for these:
1.VMWare (www.vmware.com, commercial)
2.Win4Lin (www.trelos.com, commercial)
3.Plex86 (www.freemware.com, opensource (free))
Or there is also the option of running winkk programs directly on linux using a
program (project?) that gives linux this ability:
1.Wine (Which stands for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") (www.winehq.com, opensource
(free)).
The third method is by using a program which has some compatibility with windows files
(this is not for executables, but for pic files, doc files, etc.) for example you can
use Star Office for Linux (www.openoffice.org) to open your Office files (.doc, .xls,
.ppt, etc), and so on with almost every windows' file.
