I am looking for some direction on a Python vs. PHP decision.
I am designing a web project and will need to get some people working on
the code soon. The basic idea is described at http://www.plazacr.com.

I personally would like to see the project done in Python because Python
is so clean. The code isn't going to be particularly hard--the two hard
parts are getting the data structures correct and getting the data in.
The data structures are mostly designed. I intend to put everything
into PostgreSQL and just need to add a bunch of validation stuff in the
schema.

I have a basic page layout plan (http://www.plazacr.com/Demo/en will
give you a sample). This was generated using ht2html which is a very
simple templating system. Note that the drop-down items don't work
because they are currently done with SSI and that isn't available where
I have the pages hosted for testing.

My real concern in the Python vs. PHP decision is the type of
programming talent in Costa Rica that might be willing to work on the
project. I know quite a few PHP programmers and just about zero Python
programmers. Any insight you folks might have would be very helpful.
Thanks.
