Hey, Chuck. I use Ximian Evolution and have had pretty good success with sync'ing my Visor Deluxe from Handspring. It took a little tweeking, but I got it going fine. If your friend would like help, have him get it touch with me. I'm gringo (very gringo), so no problems with the language barrier.
