It's finalized, it's on Friday, the 24th September 2004 at the new fully airconditioned and spacious Marina Party Hall at Abbasiya (next to Abbasiya Garden & Theme Games Park) - the Goa Day 2004 - the big Goan celebrations in Kuwait. Goans in large numbers will celebrate Goa Day 2004 for the tenth time this year. The traditional event depicting "Goenkarancho Ekvott" since 1995 has been an interesting and eagerly awaited event of the year
to all Goans and their friends in Kuwait. Goan Welfare Society-Kuwait, will join hands with Goan football clubs, cultural and social associations and organizations as in the past to get the Goan community to dedicate themselves to friendship, unity and love of Goa.

The ethnic throb echoes vibrantly in the cultural outpourings as can be seen at Goa Day events. Enjoy a pleasant full day programme from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For coordination purpose and expressions of interest, you may contact GWS committee members. There will be Games Stalls, Goan Food Stalls for the
clubs/associations/organizations to participate. Entertain yourself with your family and friends at Goan Cultural Programme and Konkani singing competition for the children upto the age of 16 years. Applaud the GWS Educational Awards Winners (the meritorious Goans students studying in Kuwait) and the treat yourself to the musical delights presented by Goan musical groups. GWS Educational Awards are sponsored by Mr. & Mrs. Sam Alphonso, patron member of GWS.

Prior to the Goa Day 2004, there will be the annual drawing, colouring and essay writing competitions open to all students of Indian Schools will be held on 15th September 2004. Venue: Indian English Academy School (Salmiya) at 6:00 p.m.
Note, last year there were 428 students who participated in the competitions from 11 Indian schools. This shows that the organizers have a great standing and their encouragement to students.

An amazing line-up of other events, including surprise entertainers, fancy dress competition, prizes distribution for the Drawing, Colouring, Konkani songs singing and Essay Competitions will also form part of the event.
