Gomant vishwa samelan
The Gomant vishwa samelan (meet for non resident goans) is being held at the Kala Academy Goa.It was really shocking to see that the participation of the gulf goan community was minimal, despite the fact that many of them are holdiaying in goa.
It was a golden opportunity to interact with various top govt officials and ministers. It is no point sitting and critizing everything about goa and the govt. Rather we should work closely with the govt of the day (irrespective of any pary affiliations) to increase our bargaining power which will result in quick redressal of our grevances.
Compare ourselves to the kerala NRI community and see the immense bargaining power they enjoy at top levels of govt.
I compliment the NRI facilitation cell for the efficient organisation of the samelan and would end by saying 'WAKE UP GULF GOANS".
