Pick a cast of dramatic actors who can carry a tune, and comedians with a flair for slapstick and credible cross-dressing. Stir in a Konkani script peppered with flowery metaphors, broad innuendoes and show stopping jokes. Mix in melodramatic acting, vibrant sets, costumes in the latest fashions, and a live orchestra.
Top with a title that is bold and direct. Voila!

You have a recipe for a musical show such as the second annual presentation of Kuwait-Goa Tiatristanchi Sonstha (KGTS) titled "Konknni Machiek Noman" - the medium of folk theatre traditiona that is one of the most savoury and enjoyable tidbits of popular Goan culture. Both in Goa and overseas, wherever there is an audience, big or small.
The KGTS' musical show in association with Goan Welfare Society (GWS) will be held on Friday, 4th February 2005 at the Gulf English School Auditorium, Rumaithiya, Kuwait from 3:30 p.m.

KGTS since its formation in 2002 on the initiative of popular Konkani stage singer and director, Marcus Vaz, enjoys vast following and is the only Goan association established exclusively for the upliftment of Konkani stage and assistance to fellow senior Tiatrists among the largest concentration of talented singers, writers, directors, stage technicians and musicians in Kuwait.

The names of this year's select artistes for monetary assistance will be declared during the show. A special feature of the musical show are the large number of musicians incorporated in a single unit.
