It is indeed a pleasure to invite your group to be a part of the Goan Cultural Fest 2005. Please find below the guidelines for participation. We look forward to your participation in this Event.
DANCE COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Showcasing of only Goan Dances like the Dekhni, Kunbhi, Fugdi, Corridinho, etc
Each Group can put in a max of 3 entries i.e. can showcase 3 dances.
6-10 participants allowed per Dance performance
5-10 minutes allowed per Dance performance
Recorded music either on CD or cassette
JUDGING CRITERIA
Groups will be judged on the following parameters. A total of 100 points will be awarded.
Originality
Gracefulness
Costumes
Synchronisation
Presentation
FACILTIES PROVIDED
A computer simulated screen will be projected on the backdrop which will complement the theme of your dance example the Fisher folk dance will have a backdrop of the sea, boats swaying, nets, etc.
Audio Equipment to play your CD, Cassette.
Visual lighting effects.
Changing Room for the participants.
Transportation to the venue
PRIZES
Winning Team will receive a cash prize of Dhs 1000/- and a winners shield.
Runners up Team will receive a cash prize of Dhs 500/- and a Runners up shield
All participants will receive participation certificates
ENTRY FEE
This being a ticketed event each participant will receive a 40% discount on the ticket prize. Ticket prize @ 80*40% = Dhs 50/- per participant will be charged. This Entry Fee will entail all benefits received by regular ticket holders
