Abu Dhabi: Mangalorean Day on May 20 : Final Countdown

Unlike other parts of the Gulf, Abu Dhabi can boast of having just one organization bringing and binding all the Mangaloreans under one common banner � the KCO. Their programmes are not large in number but definitely they believe in maintaining a high level of dignity and quality as far as their every programme is concerned. The Mangalore Day which is going to be held on May 20th from 10.30 AM to 5 PM on 20th May at the Al Qast Ball Room of the Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi is definitely going to be one of the well organized and entertaining programmes that every Mangalorean will be proud to be a part of.

 


Rony D`Cunha and Vishwas Rebimbus


The programme has a variety of entertainment. Singers � both old and new like Rony D`Cunha, a singer who has won the hearts of music-lovers with his enchanting voice, Vishwas Rebimbus who needs no introduction to the world of Konkani music as he has been performing on stage with his celebrity father Wilfy Rebimbus ever since he was a little boy.


Renny Lobo, Anjelina and Ratan Castelino

Angelina the singing queen who kept the audience spellbound with her recent performance at the Sambram- 2005 held in Dubai a few days ago and Ratan Castelino who may be  the new to Abu Dhabi but has tremendous potential to give a wonderful performance. Ratan has peformed in more than 50 Wilfy Nite programmes in Mangalore. Also present will be Renny Lobo, a very well known singer from Abu Dhabi who has vast experience in performing on stage. She has earlier performed with major Konkani singing names and has rendered her voice in several albums.
 
Music is not alone the entertainment that is going to be part of the  Mangalorean Day. There are games galore, spot prizes, novelty  and  folk dances and to top it all the non-stop baila session to make sure the crowd has a lively day.
 
Manohar Pais, the well-sought-after compere will once again be steering this great function as he has been doing in the past years.
 
Michael D'Silva, president of the KCO has requested every Mangalorean to be part of this great event which will surely be a great hit. He has appealed to everyone not  to wait till the last minute to book tickets lest they are disappointed. Such programmes come by rarely and hence every Mangalorean should come together not only to enjoy the day but also mingle and meet their loved ones
