Goa's newly 7th time (sworn) chief Minister PR Rane will have a tough time allotting ministerial berths. While Rane did not face much trouble in February as the party did not have a clear majority, he will now be under tremendous pressure from both the old-timers and the newcomers.
Goa can have 12 ministers, including the Chief Ministership himself ?
Rane has to accommodate all the four former Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs who resigned in order to topple the Manohar Parrikar Government. What a shame to bank upon "7" disgraceful acts ?
Rane will be left with only seven berths to accommodate 14 of his colleagues, all of whom are not less than two-time MLAs.
That reminds me of stories such as ......
The seven dwarfs
and so on.
There are seven visible planets and luminaries (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn). Each one rules a day of the week (Sun=Sunday, Saturn= Saturday, Moon=Monday, etc.) and that is where the seven day week came from. Each one is supposed to have a particular virtue or power. Will it happen in the new Goa Government under the 7th time sworn CM?
"The 7 days of the week, the 7 sabbatical years, the 7 years of famine, the 7 years of plenty, the 7 years occupied in the building of King Solomon's Temple, and especially the 7 liberal arts and sciences. Will Goa tread in the path of development and progess ?
Nevertheless, we have but to think of the seven sages � the Sapta Rishis; the Sapta Loka � the seven worlds; the Sapta Pura � the seven holy cities; the Sapta Dvipa--the seven holy islands; the Sapta Samudra--the seven holy seas; the Sapta Parvatta � the seven holy mountains; the Sapta Arania--the seven deserts; the Sapta Vriksha--the seven sacred trees; and so on, to see the probability of the hypothesis.
Let us all dwell upon with prayers that the '7' mysteries will not drown Amchem Goa into mystical '7' sumudras !
