In a thrilling encounter this evening Mahindra SC beat
Sporting Club de Goa 2 - 1 . The two sides were
levelled 1 - 1 when the final bugle blew, and given
the extra time the decisive goal was scored.
The match witnessed by a record crowd of 28 000 being
a Sunday and on the eve of Deepavali festival on 1st
November,caysed moments of anger when a controversial
penalty was awarded to Sporting Culb de Goa, which
resulted in a one one draw in the first half.
Sporting clube de Goa who were held in high esteem and
given a favourable ovation akk through the first half
by the Goans lost the support after the controversial
penalty.
Yhe last goal came in the 28th minute of extra time.
