Successful 'Baila Show' at Mira Road

Mumbai, October 31, 2005: The first Baila Show International in Mumbai
held yesterday over here was witnessed by a very large crowd of Mira
Road. The show was organised by Konkani Welfare Assoication Mira Road.

Eric Ozario along with Joyce Ozario, Zeena, Felix, Prakash and Adolf
was successful in stealing the hearts of music-lovers through the
melodious voices.

Some of the hit numbers sung with the baila beat on Sunday were Mumbai
Sherache Matient, Savlo Tuka, Shenddo, Ghoddgoddaita, Santanam, Vodda
Ponda, Sezarachem Sunnem, Jam Zalom, Ashim Sopnnam, Punve Chan'nem,
Festa Santek, Ie Moga, Altoddicho Lok, Tonnier Tonni, Ravre Nhesun,
Paizonnam and Shirandarincho Paus. 'Rosaline mhojea mogachem' was also
sung but without baila beat. There was also a non-stop bail string for
the whole crowd on the floor for dancing.

Instrumentalists Jerome Coelho (Bass guitar), Melvyn Fernandes
(Drums), Alwyn Fernandes (Lead Guitar), Roshan Crasta (Rhythm guitar),
Umesh Suratkal (Trumpet), Sunil Kumar (Violin) and Onil (Keyboard)
gave an exciting combination of music in accompaniment..

Dances were choreographed by Chetan Salian, with co-artistes Shilpa,
Seema, Sweety, Merola, Snehal, Anil, Avil and Pramod.

Wilfred Mascharenhas, Wilson, Divya and the Master of Ceremonies Stany
Alvares kept the crowd in a joyous mood throughout the show through
their hilarious jokes. Kingsly Nazareth was the Team Manager. The
stage function was witnessed by John Crasta, Fr. John Pinto, Fr.
Alfred Menezes, Maxim Mathias, Gilbert Baptist, Maurice Pinto, Eric
Ozario, Joy Paladka and Fr. Elias D'Souza. Aldrin D'Sa compared the
stage function.
