Former Mr India wins Cayman Islands bodybuilding contest
PANJIM, Goa: The Herald, November 16, 2005
Three competitors outshined all others to claim their moment in the spotlight and leading the pack was Goan lad Xavier DSouza, emerging as one of the Cayman Islands Natural Bodybuilding Associations national heroes, when he came up trumps at the first-ever contest in the Cayman Islands held at the Lions Center.
Xavier, coming from the little village of Ribandar that nestles along the banks of the Mandovi River, took top honours in the British colony of the Cayman Island which lies in the Caribbean, north-west of Jamaica.
His mass, symmetry and polished posing made him a clear winner in the Cayman Islands Mens Open Crown class with both the judges and the crowd and is a hero of the Goan community there. A former Mr India, DSouza is a
personal trainer based at Kings Sports Center in the Cayman Islands.
