suis en train d'installer une knoppix sur le portable d'une personne
influente qui fera certainement beaucoup de pub pour GNU/linux .... si
le port USB fonctionne
Bonjour, Aux vues des logs, je dirais qu'il manque le module usb-storage. Peut-�tre avec un modprobe usb-storage ? La question devenant : pourquoi des fois il se charge et des fois pas ...
Juste, mais lorsque je le lance manuellement, /var/log/messages confirme que le usb-storage a �t� charg�, mais le module reste inutilis�.
En fait, il est probable que usb-storage ne soit pas charg� automatiquement simplement parce que le device usb n'est pas reconnu par hotplug (ni usbmgr) (voir les logs dans mes mails pr�c�dents)

M�me pas une diff�rence au niveau de la version et des r�glages du BIOS (OS plug-and-play, support APM, interruptions USB) ? Sinon �a voudrais dire que le m�me noyau ne se comporte pas de la m�me fa�on sur deux machines identiques. En tout cas les interruptions ne sont pas distribu�es de la m�me fa�on (IRQ 11, IRQ 9).

??? je ne sais pas. Comme je ne comprends rien au hardware, je mets les deux /proc/pci en annexe, au cas ou il y aurait un sp�cialiste pour qui trouverait la raison de cette diff�rence de comportement.
C'est vraiment un probl�me que le hotplug usb ne fonctionne pas pour 2 machines sur 4 sous linux :-(
