Hum, so hum, okay. So how many civilizations would even take the effort to
build a "Solid" Sphere, versus a disperse one, or just a ring world or like?
True, how would you write one up for a gaming or just a book idea?

I know in my world idea, the whole act of building the sphere took the
energy of a major part of the Empire that built it, and in the process they
fell, in major part cause of the massive ego of the builders in even
building the sphere.. That cause of time/space dialation, that you still
find people from distant parts of the empire showing up, and finding out the
empire collapsed centuries ago, but they are back home, still going and
thriving.. News takes a long time to get from one end of a Galaxy, let alone
a universe and across several dimensions. Not paratime dimensions but
seperate ones?

Much like how the Space Vikings, going back to Terra to find the enemy that
their ancestors fled in the war they fought, has now fallen, and now what?
How much of the Piper universe is the bases for the later traveller universe
has long been a debate, same with the Battle Tech and others.. Not that
Piper was not the only one writing about such things as Drop Ships and more
As well as hidden agencies that causes chaos to keep things new and
revitalized, shades of the Illuminati and such.. Didn't Asimov also have
some odd comments about how things can be manipulated to seem to be chaos,
but it is not that chaotic.. Seen it myself in real life, but I also do some
pizza delivery at times, and odd how somethings happen, at odd times and it
seems to be random, other than they fact certain things seem to happen the
same way or close to the same each time. Example, leaving town heading home,
there is a an off ramp, and I can leave going 55, 65 and not have a another
car on the road the whole way out at 3am, but when I get to that off ramp,
there is someone in the way as I get to that off-ramp, happens quite
often..Maybe other factors in play but ..

Alternate, what uses for a Sphere would there be, other than to live on/in
the parts? Energy collection for sure. Especially of a dim home star, energy
collection for living or for some machine? Aka Voyagers array? or Babyloon
5, or giant artificial array radio telescope or super weapon or what? Bug
catapult or ..
