This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. With a slight delay, old vehicles appear
at http://omeyer.gmxhome.de/GURPSnet_files/summary.html

Black Op Helicopter v1.0 (TL9)
  Copyright 2006 by Onno Meyer

The Technology Department is well known for slightly buggy prototypes,
but this CRW helicopter is actually fairly reliable. The airframe looks
like a 22nd century business helicopter, but it was built with advanced
composite materials for increased armor protection. It has some stealth
features and very advanced ECM systems as well.
The helicopter seats a crew of two and eight passengers or a similar
amount of cargo. It is armed with internal bays for two small missiles
and two hardpoints for external ordnance or drop tanks. The hardpoints
actually help to disguise the mil-spec nature of the design -- no 22nd
century gunship would increase its RCS with external stores.
At routine travel speed, the engines burn 180 gallons of jet fuel per
hour. A full load of fuel is $1,800.

Subassemblies: Body +4, Canard Rotor Wing +2, three retractable Wheels
  +1.
Powertrain: Two 9,000-lb. super turbofans; 3,600-kW reaction rotor
drivetrain; three 270,000-kWs rechargeable E cells.
Fuel: 600 gallons jet fuel (fire 11).
Occ: 2 NCS, 8 folding CS.

Stall Speed 135 mph. Ceiling 11,900 yards.

Design Notes
Body is 720 cf with good streamlining. Canard Rotor Wing is 100 cf.
Wheels are 36 cf. Structure is medium and advanced. Armor is advanced
composite. Sealed. Computerized controls with duplicate maneuver
controls and one telepathic control panel (minor bug: poor handling -1
for non-telepathic controls). There are 15.51 cf of empty space in the
body for further upgrades. Empty weight is 18,000 lbs. The payload
includes 100 lbs. of internal ordnance but not external stores.
The TL9 vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [2nd edition, 3rd
printing, Dec 2004 errata], Psionics, VXi and VXii (including the stall
speed and armor volume rules) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
In the background, the telepathic control panel is assumed to be TL9.
The aircraft takes the background of GURPS Black Ops one TL into the
future. It is not designed for generic Black Ops games.

Next Week: Not clear yet.
