(got from World-Create list) Hello everyone,
I have some questions regarding my idea about starting a new 'networld'. Most of them are rather loosely related but I hope that won't be a problem. 1. First of all I'm not really sure whether 'a networld' is a good word for what I want to create - am I right saying that the 'Truerth' and 'Truerth II' (http://www.sbroadbent.com/truerth) are good examples of 'networlds'? Have you seen any kind of definnition of the 'networld'? 2. And what about 'Fargoth'(http://www.fargoth.com)? This is the site from where I've taken my idea basically... And what's your general opinion on it? 3. And what other reasonable 'networlds' you know? I'm especially interested in dark fantasy settings with low magic, bearing some resemblance to Warhammer. 4. As for the matters more strictly related to my idea - what do you thong about using GFDL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html) for the project similiar to Fargoth? 5. Have you ever seen any bilingual projects like that? By bilingual I mean for example forums being 'on fly' (let's say 2-3 hours delay) for example from polish to english and from english to polish. Do you yhink it's possible to do? 6. On this group(http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/world-create/message/230) I've read that 'I think in part that's where Hans went wrong, in opening up the entire world.' What are your opinion on that? For me the most important thing is not limiting the area but rather setting appropriate guidelines like for example: X is a monarchy and dvarfes are not 2 m. tall. Uff... that would be it for now ;) Thank you in advance for any replies :) Greg http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Poetry-L2/ My Poetry List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/adulthumor-l My Humor List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abrigon-l2 My Friends List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stargruntsooc Grunts Past/Present/Future http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abrigon-world Magic or Super High Tech http://groups.yahoo.com/group/future-history-l Where are going as a species _______________________________________________ GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l
