This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. With a slight delay, old vehicles appear
at http://omeyer.gmxhome.de/GURPSnet_files/summary.html

ArcoTech Maintenance Cart v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL9)
  Copyright 2006 by Onno Meyer

On very inhospitable planets, populations are often concentrated in a
few arcologies. Vehicles for use within these buildings differ from the
open country models - size matters, and bigger isn't always better.
The Maintenance Cart holds two persons, a little workshop and lockers
for extra parts. It is 2.7 m long and only 1.5 m wide. That can make it
difficult to move around in the rear section, but large hatches on all
sides allow access to the tools from outside. There are several variants
of the Maintenance Cart, differing in the tool kit and the layout of the
extra stowage.
At full speed, the power cells last for 15 hours.

Subassemblies: Body +3, four small Wheels -1.
Powertrain: 15-kW wheeled drivetrain; three 270,000-kWs rechargeable E

Design Notes
Body is 228 cf. Wheels are 12 cf (increased volume). Structure is
light and cheap. All-wheel steering and improved brakes. Body armor is
cheap composite, wheel armor is cheap metal. Mechanical controls. There
are 9.41 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 4,000 lbs.
The TL9 vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [2nd edition, 3rd
printing, Dec 2004 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite. The Traveller rules
affect the background but not the technology of this design.

Next Week: An indoor police car.
