One of the webcomics i tread regularly is "The Wotch", the story of a
high school girl who finds a flute at band camp one year and discovers
she has an array of magic powers.
One of those powers seems to be an almost unlimited ability to transform
other people as she wishes. she has developed a habit of changing the
gender of her male friends whenever the mood strikes her )known as
"Ka-Girling" them, and has been known to do it quite causally to other
people (like the four football players who are now the school's
cheerleading squad -- they pissed her off by bullying one of her
friends, and now nobody remembers they were ever boys except her and her
immediate circle.) One of her friends gets Ka-Girled so frequently that
his female form has a nearly-complete public identity (including name
and possibly ID) and a guy who is pursuing her (he isn't quite sure HOW
he feels about that).
So what I basically have are two problems in GURPS spell design; hos do
you create a spell that changes the gender of a person but nothing else
important about them (their attributes, skills, etc. are the same) and
how do you model the ability to cast it so casually (sometimes without
even knowing you've done it).
Well, for the spell, it would be a simple Body Control college spell (I
think, since I don't have my books with me). I'll have to get back to you on
prereqs. The spells Anne has demonstrated run the gamut of Body and Mind
Control, and quite a few other colleges.
You have to realize that a part of Anne's ability to casually transform
people is because she has the meta-trait Wotch, which includes (at least)
Magery 10 with the Cosmic enhancement ("Reality likes the Wotch and tries to
accommodate her"). In the instances where the SHOULD have been
repercussions, her predecessor went around and smoothed things over.
