UT had rules for a couple of single-shot or "few-shot" lasers, but UT was before the great rules unification that came with VE2nd. I try to remember if there is a single-shot beam weapon rule applicable to Traveller PGMPs (i.e. UTT plasma blasters).
I have the feeling that there was something, but I don't have the time to re-read a dozen tech books. As a quick and dirty house rule I could simply adapt use the rules for single-shot railguns, but perhaps one of you can help my aging brain ...
