The one idea we came up with is to have him involved with the theft or trading of pigs, silver pigs.
A pig is a unit of measure used in Rome when dealing in silver. To my limited knowledge pigs were large, used for very large transfer of silver as currency or for other use, and most importantly they were under the control of the Roman government. British and Gaulish silver was mined and made into pigs for Rome to use before thay we melted into smaller bars or coin. If the villian of the piece were to have stolen silver pigs and transported them the PC's could have Roman authorities both helping them in some small way and hindering them... and a GM has to love that :) The one thing about pigs is that they are small enough to carry, but large enough that you can't just pay a bar bill with one...unless you are including the cost of the liver transplant from all the drinkingyou did... and pigs can be traced :) good luck MPK ____________________________________________________________________________________ Now that's room service!
