Since I have not been able to find any information on
how this would work on a practical level (size,
weight, energy requirements...) I hove not been able
to apply it to this discussion.
Anyone have any ideas about this or know more or have
the higher math/engineering to make some solid
guesses?
This is something I would love to see! and it would be
great to have it in game as well.
This happens to be a particular interest of mine;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heim_theory is a reasonable starting
point. However, even if it happens to be an accurate description of
how the universe actually works, it's still in the proto-science stage
and requires further investigation and comparison with its
competitors, such as Loop Quantum Gravity and Modified Newtonian
Dynamics. And given that it's quite possible that it's /false/, it
doesn't quite fall into the 'hard' sort of SF (for various definitions
of hardness).
On the other paw, when I'm not looking for pure-hard-SF, I've started
using Heim-theory terminology for my reactionless thrusters and warp
drives. :)
Thank you for your time,
