I would keep inconvienient size; it's part of the racial template of "cat." While the player can indeed shift to a human form for social interaction and the like, they are limited by size while in cat form. She can't, for example, wear armor sized for a human or reach anything on the kitchen counter without leaping up there and getting yelled at because she knows better, like that ever stops her. Ahem.
