I disagree with this. GURPS HP loss can bring a character to 0 HP without immediately endangering their life. The first "death check" (roll vs HT or die) is required only when the character goes below -1×HP. This is true no matter what caused the HP loss. So, I would modify your above statement to say "a 10 HP human, having lost 18 HP to blood loss, is in a bad way. If bleeding rules are in effect, the character requires immediate hospitalisation." > 4, In GURPS I reckon you can probably use use the same method for > healing wounds. 1 point of blood should be able to heal 2 points of > (Non bone breaking) Crushing damage, or one point of (MINOR) cuts, > impaling or bullet damage. The GURPS model of HP doesn't make different types of HP loss "more damaging". Instead, an injury from a cutting weapon *inflicts more points of damage* (1.5× damage) to a normal human than a crushing weapon. Being less vulnerable to specific injury types than a normal human — e.g., taking less than the 1.5× damage multiplier from cutting weapons — isa specific advantage, Injury Tolerance. Once the injury is received as HP damage, there's no need to track what kind of wound it was to know how slowly it heals; that's taken care of by the difference in amount of damage dealt. So, following this, GURPS Vampire: the Masquerade has a flat rate of 1 Blood Point spent => 2 HP healed. > 5 Blood points should be able to heal 5 to 10 points of mortal wound > type damage. This would mean keeping a log of each type of woulnd > you take. The supernatural "Aggravated damage" of WoD is modelled specially in GURPS 3e's WoD conversion. 5 Blood Points => heal 3 HP of Aggravated damage, to a maximum of 3 HP per 24-hour period (with a single Will roll allowed to heal 3 more HP in a 24-hour period). -- \ "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
