I agree. I've ran games with WW Vampires and Werewolves in them before. I didn't use the official GURPS Vampire rules because I didn't like them. I found that letting them drain health until they reached their ST in negative hit points worked out the best. It matches the Vampire style pretty close. In WW Vampire a vampire had I think 7 or 8 health levels. Each blood points healed one health level. Humans all had 10 blood points and the same number of health levels as a Vampire. This meant that a vampire could fully heal himself of normal damage without even killing one human. This doesn't convert well into GURPS I think, but I think that being able to heal 20 hit points off of a normal human, without even killing him, is more then fair. In my games I ruled that 1 Blood point was equal to 5 HT from a normal human. Standard Vampires could hold 10. 1 Blood point would heal 5 HT, raise a physical attribute by 4, etc. For Aggravated Damage I ruled that it took one blood point to heal just one point of Aggravated Damage and a Willpower roll. Every point the roll was made by allowed additional points of Aggravated Damage to be healed. So someone who made their Willpower roll by 5 could heal 6 points of Aggravated Damage by spending 6 blood points (one point of aggravated damage for making the role and an additional 5 for making the roll by 5). This kept things simple. I think later on I allowed the vampire to keep draining blood points until the human actually died. So every 5 HT equaled 1 Blood Point and the vampire could keep draining until the person died from it. This allowed the player to get more out of really tough people that he defeated, which was usually when he really needed the blood. Some creatures in my game, like the Sidhe or the Amberites, had much more potent blood. Some gave 1 Blood point for every point of HT drained. Amberite blood was really powerful and actually made the vampire more powerful just by drinking it. >As for whether he can drain from already dead humans, >does anyone know of an official WW ruling on that? My >player will probably know, since he's played VtM, but >as always, the perspective is welcome. > >"Nemo Malus Felix" - No Peace For The Wicked > I'm pretty sure they could. At worst I'd say that it was only worth half of what a living human's blood was worth.
