be shifted to other nations or earlier times with little change. Some of these

Notes: This NPC represents an occult writer (specializing in lurid witchcraft 
fiction). Apart from his readers, he is cnsidered a kook by the general public 
and a sell-out by serious occultists. The Pine Barrens is most infamously 
linked with the Jersey Devil.

Notes: This a "field research" occultist, who spends most of her time in the 
Scottish Highlands interviewing old prople and writing down lore that has only 
been passed down orally until now and is in danger of being forgotten. As a 
result, her knowledge is more academic than practical. In the US, such a 
researcher might deal with a Native American tribe.

Notes: This NPC is a psi who, through years of self-training, became an expert 
in the field of psionics. Although he lacks expertise in the areas of psionic 
technology and psionic eugenics of interest to the Soviets, he is often 
consulted because of his overall knowledge. His study of Atlantis began as a 
minor hobby, but has grown to a belief that the Atlanteans did not have 
advanced technology but were masters of mind over matter.
