First, the table on B432 surprised me that the Sedan of all TLs is
the most armored civilian road vehicle, more than jeeps, busses, and
"heavy" bikes.
Why is that a surprise? Jeeps don't have roofs or doors or
windshields. busses mostly don't have bumpers (and are mostly pretty
fragile stressed skin vehicles, for that matter.). Bikes are, well,
bikes, and have most of their machinery exposed.
Vehicle armor does not neccessarily protect the driver (For example, a
motorcycle).
I would expect the armor to protect the frame and engine all the time for
vehicles with E and O occupancy. For passengers, it varies as to what
happens, for example, many motorcycles' DR would mean little to a passenger
in a side collision.
