Your giving up butt-loads of mechanical advantage, just for the geewhiz of a
flying appliance. Or a small engine and transmission for much larger
thrusters. It's a physics and engineering question.

But as I said, a grav powered no-till cultivator would be great. You could
get much tight planting patterns, using density of planting to choke out
weeds, spot application of chemicals etc.......
