This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Space Marine Infantry Warbot v1.0 (TL11)
Copyright 2010 by Onno Meyer
The Infantry Warbot augments Space Marine forces in high-risk assault
missions, where a robot is more expendable than a human, and in routine
operations at the end of a long supply chain, where the small logistics
footprint compared to a human matters.
The robot has a compact hull with two manipulator arms. The right arm
mounts an x-ray laser, and the left arm holds a 100mm electromag mortar.
The main hull contains the power system, thruster, electronics, and the
mortar bombs. The Infantry Warbot can hover on vectored thrust and fly
at Mach 0.8 in a standard atmosphere. The robot has hands to open doors
and hatches, so it can reach most spots an adult human could enter.
A typical ammunition load is $1,440. It takes 720 seconds to recharge
one xaser shot.
Subassemblies: Body +0, two Arms -2.
Powertrain: 4,000-lb. vectored super reactionless thruster; 205-kW
nuclear power unit; two 450,000-kWs rechargeable power cells.
