This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Interstellar Prospector, Vehicles Version v1.0 (TL11)
  Copyright 2010 by Onno Meyer

This little starship is used to explore the deep space resources of a
system, from asteroids and comets to small moons.
The Interstellar Prospector consists of the main hull with the engine
room, crew quarters, airlock, and a metal extraction plant, and a small
cockpit with the flight controls and the primary sensors. The pilot has
an excellent view of the underside of the main hull, where the landing
gear, a robot arm, and a grapple are mounted. She can carry up to five
crew, but two or three are more typical, especially on longer flights.
It takes 13 hours to recharge the power cells for a hyperspace entry.

Subassemblies: Body +5, four Skids +1, Superstructure +4, Arm +1.
Powertrain: Two 60,000-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters; 75-ton
  hyperdrive; ruggedized 5-kW RTG; 15,000-kW fusion reactor;
  27,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.

Design Notes
Body is 2,400 cf. Skids are 120 cf, non-retractable. Superstructure is
460 cf. Arm is 20 cf, mounted on Body. Structure is medium and standard.
Armor is standard composite. Sealed. Computerized controls. 118.15 cf of
empty space in the Body, 288.9 cf in the Superstructure, 16.1 cf in the
Arm. Empty weight is 40,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
