Space Destroyer Mk.VIII, Vehicles Version v1.0 (TL15)

The Space Destroyer is a small warship for an interstellar or perhaps
even intergalactic navy. The classic roles for a destroyer are scouting
in main fleet actions, and escorting merchant convoys.
The Destroyer has a spherical hull with 100m diameter. The equatorial
decks hold the thrusters and hyperdrives. Most weaponry and sensors are
mounted on the upper decks, and power systems and hangars placed are on
the lower decks. The bridge and crew quarters are protected at the core.
Her primary armament are two 3.6-TJ antiparticle beams and two 3.6-TJ
fusion guns. Point defense is provided by 24 grasers, and two paralysis
guns give a non-lethal option if the targets are susceptible to these
beams.
The crew consists of twenty bridge officers, assisted by hundreds of
robots for routine tasks. The Destroyer can carry a company of Marines
for boarding or security, and the life support capacity is 2,000.
The Destroyer has a multirole hangar for roughly 4,000 tons of small
craft, and conformal bays for four 250-ton Lifeboats and one 5,000-ton
Cutter. The typical mission loadout could consist of two Fighters, one
Assault Lander, and a few utility craft in addition to the permanently
carried subcraft.

The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], VXi (including the structural volume
rule) and VXii (including the armor volume rule) with the text format
from Vehicles Lite. The GM should probably set a FTL factor well over
0.2, perhaps in the five figures for intergalactic flights.

robots for routine tasks. The Destroyer can carry a company of Marines
for boarding or security, and the life support capacity is 268.
The Destroyer has a multirole hangar for roughly 6,000 tons of small
craft. The typical mission load includes a 3,000-ton cutter, a pair of
1,000-ton fighters or assault landers, and a few smaller craft.
It has a spherical 300,000-ton (SM +13) hull about 450 feet in
diameter.
