WWII Battlesuits (still in progress)

Observations
Due to the weight (and therefore volume) of legged transmissions and the
limited leg volume of battlesuits (and light mecha), speed for WWII two-legged
legged vehicles will tend to be low – the smaller the vehicle, the slower it
tends to be. Assume a heavily armored battlesuit (50+) will have a speed of
around 5 mph while a very lightly armored suit (the default DR 5) will be
around 10 mph.

Rules
Legged transmissions must be placed entirely in the legs.

Transmissions and engines rated at 5 kW or less (necessary for battlesuits and
useful for light mecha) have their weight calculated differently than their
larger versions. Cost and volume are figured as normal.

1)Legged transmissions under 5 kW weigh 160 lbs times kW.
2)Diesel engines under 5 kW weigh 20 lbs per kW.
3)Gasoline engines under 5 kW weigh 12 lbs per kW.

Body ST is calculated as (Leg kW – weight in tons) x 80, with a minimum of Body
HP/2 and a maximum of Body HPx2.

Legged vehicles have a “kick start” acceleration. If top speed to under 30 mph,
this is 4 x top speed/ speed factor. Do not use “kick start” acceleration to
figure top speed.

Errata
The HP for huge huge marauder suit is 54.
