This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Dur-Class 1,000-ton Lift Transport v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL9)
  Copyright 2011 by Onno Meyer

Yori is a desert world in the Spinward Marches. The population centers
are located in the polar regions, and large contragrav aircraft like the
Dur-class Transport cruise over the rugged mountain ranges and scorching
salt flats of the equatorial regions.
The Lift Transport has a cargo deck with a large bow ramp, a passenger
deck with 72 cabins, and a promenade deck with the dining area and large
viewports. An airlock leads to the landing deck on top, where intrepid
voyagers can feel the wind in their faces -- most crewmembers sensibly
stay in the pressurized, moisture-sealed interior of the hull.
At 225 mph, the engines burn 2,160 gallons of diesel per hour for an
endurance of 50 hours and 11,250 miles. At 375 mph, the range drops to
6,250 miles. A full load of fuel is $129,600.
