Jump Carrier v1.0 (TL10)

  The Jump Carrier is used for long operations through the interstellar 
wormhole network. She is home to three insystem riders and ten shuttles, 
and her endurance is measured in years, if not decades.
  The Carrier has a cylindrical hull with semi-recessed docks for three 
300-ton riders. The bridge and the crew quarters are protected near the 
center of the cylinder, shielded by the engines and stores. The Carrier 
has hydroponic gardens, both to extend the food supply and to give the 
crew some green spaces. The blunt nose contains the primary sensor and 
commo arrays, three particle accelerators, and an airlock. The Carrier 
mounts ten lasers for point defense as well.
  A full load of provisions is $720,000. It takes 137 minutes to charge 
the power cell for a jump, and 1.6 seconds to recharge one particle beam 
shot.

  drive; two 2,400,000-kW fusion reactors; 16,200,000,000-kWs

printing, December '09 errata] and VXii (including the armor volume
