This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Light Transport Mk.VIII v1.0 (TL15)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

  The Light Transport carries a couple of interstellar merchants to the
stars, to profit and adventure. She has room for six people and 60 tons
of cargo, at a modest price tag.
  The Mark VIII has a simple box shape, covered by a streamlined force
screen in flight. The forward half of the ship is the cargo bay, with a
large bow ramp for easy cargo handling. The rear contains the crew area
and the engine room. The flight deck and the galley are combined into a
large common room on the port side, where the crew spends most of their
waking hours. On the starboard side are three cabins, each with double
beds, and the head.
  It takes 275 minutes to recharge the power cells for one hyperspace
entry.

Subassemblies: Body +7.
Powertrain: Four 125,000-lb. reactionless thrusters; 500-ton hyperdrive;
  two 500,000-lb. contragrav generators; two 20,000-kW total conversion
  reactors; 182,250,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 2 bridge RCS, 3 cabins. Cargo: 6,190 cf.

50-lightsecond FTL radars; two 50-mile thermographs; 50-mile
multiscanner; two x200 astronomical LLTVs; 10-lightsecond FTL scan
detector; 10-lightsecond FTL emergence detector; navigation instruments;
two transponders; two inertial navigation systems; two C10 hardened
minicomputers; two terminals; two neural induction fields; full fire

Design Notes
  Body is 12,500 cf, with underbelly skids. Structure is heavy, cheap.
Armor is cheap composite. Sealed. Computerized controls with duplicate
maneuver controls. 2,380 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 75,000 lbs.
 The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
