This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Bulk Transport Mk.VII v1.0 (TL14)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

The Bulk Transport hauls large loads over interstellar distances. Her
main bay is 85,000 cubic meters, and she can reach 5,950 times c with a
normal load of 15,000 tons.
The starship has a spherical hull. Three top decks contain the bridge,
the avionics, the crew areas, and four liftboat docks. Five lower decks
hold most of the engines and power systems. The cargo bay is sandwiched
in between, 50 to 60 meters wide and 36 meters high. The bay is sealed,
so the ship can handle drybulk and wetbulk cargo without modifications.
Alternatively, she can be loaded with containers or grav vehicles.
It takes 12 hours to recharge the power cells for one hyperspace
entry.

Subassemblies: Body +12.
Powertrain: Six 25,000,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; 750,000-ton

Design Notes
Body is 4,000,000 cf, with underbelly skids. Structure is extra-heavy,
cheap. Armor is cheap metal. Sealed. Computerized controls with
quadruple maneuver controls. 29,109 cf of empty space. Empty weight is
28,800,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: A high-efficiency transport at TL15.
