This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Deep Space Transport Mk.VI v1.0 (TL13)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

  The Deep Space Transports are small interstellar craft, optimized for
work in the outer system, the asteroid belts, or near the Trojan points
of a gas giant. This DST services the countless satellites and buoys of
an interstellar civilization.
  The starship consists of a 25' by 25' work platform, with cargo racks
and engines mounted underneath, and the crew section in front. The rear
section is open to space, but a force screen can create a shirt-sleeve
work environment when required. The crew section contains the bridge, a
galley nook, two individual cabins, and the reactor.
  It takes 337 minutes to recharge the power cell for one hyperspace
entry.

Subassemblies: Body +6, Superstructure +5.
Powertrain: Four 12,500-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters;
  500-ton hyperdrive; 20,000-kW fusion reactor; 378,000,000-kWs
  rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 2 bridge RCS, 2 cabins.
Cargo: 7,480 cf.

  Superstructure: Two extreme-range gravity ripple communicators; two
150-mile AESAs; two 25-lightsecond FTL radars; 150-mile multiscanner;
two x200 astronomical LLTVs; 30-lightsecond FTL scan detector;
30-lightsecond FTL emergence detector; precision navigation instruments;
two transponders; two inertial navigation systems; three C8 hardened
minicomputers; two terminals; two neural induction fields; compact fire
suppression system; ST 1,000 combination beam; forcelock; FSR 20
impermeable force screen (DR 2,000); three 4-man total life systems;
grav unit. External: Radiation shielding (Superstructure); 625 sf flight
deck (Body).

Design Notes
  Body is 8,000 cf. Superstructure is 2,000 cf. Structure is medium,
standard. Body armor is open-frame, standard metal. Superstructure armor
is standard composite. Superstructure is sealed. Computerized controls.
145.85 cf of empty space in the Superstructure. Empty weight is 50,000
lbs.
 The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata] and VXii (including the armor volume rule)
with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: A cargo carrier.
