This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Deep Space Transport Mk.IX v1.0 (TL16)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

  The Deep Space Transports are small interstellar craft, optimized for
work in the outer system, the asteroid belts, or near the Trojan points
of a gas giant. The Mark IX is used to service satellites, or to bring
them back for repair.
  The Transport is a flat cylinder, 36' wide and 10' high. The sublight
thrusters are mounted in four articulated arms, along with tractor beam
emitters and mechanical manipulators. The top deck is a work area where
satellites can land, and where they can be serviced under a force field
dome. A lift leads down to the main deck, which contains a hangar, the
cargo holds, workshops, and the crew area. The starship has two cabins,
a small bridge, and an even smaller galley.
  It takes 43 hours to recharge the power cell for one hyperspace entry.

Subassemblies: Body +6, four Arms +2.
Powertrain: Four 12,500-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters;
  1,200-ton hyperdrive; two 10,000-kW total conversion reactors;
  432,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 2 bridge NCS, 2 cabins.
Cargo: 3,000 cf.

Design Notes
  Body is 9,600 cf. Arms are 100 cf each. Structure is medium, standard.
Armor is standard composite. Sealed. Computerized controls with
duplicate maneuver controls. 19.075 cf of empty space. Empty weight is
120,000 lbs.
 The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata] and VXii (including the armor volume rule)
with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: A little commo station.
