Hello Tim, this is a hobby mailing list, not a scientific publication. There is no standard format. IIRC the terms of use said something about inappropriate content, but it doesn't cover formatting ... That being said, my format for vehicles is strongly influenced by the last 3E Vehicles designs, especially Vehicles Lite, and by an online vehicles collection called Happy Herb's Spring Catalog, with GURPS vehicles collected by Steven Hammond. - I'm still using 72 characters per line monospaced ASCII. I'm confident that will still work 20 years from now. - Some time ago we talked/thought about a Vehicles XML format and automated PDF generation. With FOP 1.1, we might be getting there. I'll send a separate mail on that to you, no need to spam the list. - I've added a paragraph to state the rulebooks which were used, including the errata version of Vehicles, to help reverse- engineering. - There will be a color text to put the vehicle into context, even if it is just a few lines. Think about the time it takes to design the vehicle. And then consider how much time you should put into making it readable. I believe that GVD output should be edited before posting.
