Sternmetal Bingham Heavy Air/Raft v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL9)

Sternmetal was looking for a simple and rugged grav flyer for mining
planets. They came up with the Bingham, basically a steel hull with two
large ducted fans, two contragrav generators, and a fusion reactor. The
cargo is carried in an open hold in the forward part of the Air/Raft. A
bow ramp and two cranes are used for loading and unloading. The flight
controls are in a deck house in the rear, tall enough to look over the
open cargo bay even if the load is piled high.
Subassemblies: Body +7, two Skids +4, Superstructure +4, two
full-rotation Open Mounts +3.
Powertrain: Two 8,000-kW vectored ducted fans; two 800,000-lb.
contragrav generators; 18,000-kW fusion reactor; ten 270,000-kWs
rechargeable power cells.
Occ: 2 bridge RCS, 2 exposed RCS, 4 cabins. Cargo: 20,000 cf open.

Design Notes
Cheaply made. Body is 18,000 cf. Skids are 900 cf. Superstructure is
620 cf, mounted on Body. Open Mounts are 240 cf each, mounted on Body.
Structure is extra-heavy, cheap. Armor is cheap metal. 3,225.08 cf of
empty space in the Body and 371.38 cf in the Superstructure. Empty
weight is 200,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], VXii (including the armor volume rule), and
Traveller with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
