This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Myrmecoleon-class Meson Gun Train v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL12)
  Copyright 2015 by Onno Meyer

The role and firepower of this armored train falls between contragrav
sleds like the Terrapin and buried deep meson sites. The train can move
to avoid orbital bombardment, hide in railway tunnels, and draw on the
planetary power grid.
The articulated maglev train consists of five sections. The front and
rear sections hold the cabs and the fusion reactors. The second section
contains the communications and fire control center. The third section
mounts the meson gun. The fourth section has quarters for the crew and
security troops. Each section has an airlock and a VRFGG mount on each
side.
Usually the train operates on external power. It has power cells for
69 shots, recharged at a rate of six shots per hour. The internal power
plants allow three shots per minute, but the sensor signature increases
significantly.
A full load of VRFGG ammunition is $26,000.

Subassemblies: Body +8.
Powertrain: Ten 600,000-lb. maglev lifters; two 500,000-kW fusion
reactors; two 32,000-kW contact power receivers; 2,560 540,000-kWs
  rechargeable power cells.
