Escape Capsule Mk.V v1.0 (TL12)
    Copyright 2015 by Onno Meyer

The Escape Capsule can evacuate one person from a doomed starship. She
has a cryotube, a gravitic com, and an isotope battery for more than ten
years. The computer decides if the capsule waits near the ship, enters a
stable orbit, or attempts a landing on an earthlike world. The Mk.V has
contragrav for improved atmospheric maneuvering, and sublight thrusters
for relativistic interstellar flight.

Subassemblies: Body +2.

Design Notes
Body is 100 cf, with very good streamlining, underbelly skids, and
lifting body. Structure is medium, expensive. Armor is expensive,
composite. Sealed. 7.935 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 2,250 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], RO, VXi, and VXii (including the armor
volume rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Perhaps I'm a bit rusty, but would compartmentalization help? That would make the system more resilient overall. On such a small craft it should not change costs much.
