This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Sleeper Ship Mk.V v1.0 (TL12)
  Copyright 2016 by Onno Meyer

The Mark V is a starship with ten cryosleep capsules. She was designed
as a low cost, long range interstellar transport, but the model is often
used by people who want to ride out an (imagined or real) apocalypse in
orbit around some nameless dwarf star.
Usually the computers wake the flight crew a day before the hyperspace
emergence. The Sleeper Ship has a cabin with two beds and a tiny cockpit
in the nose. A short corridor leads aft to the cyronic capsules and the
cargo lockers. The rear section contains the engines and reactor.
It takes 4 hours to recharge the power cell for a hyperspace entry if
the Sleeper Ship is drifting, or 22 days at full thrust.

Subassemblies: Body +5.
Powertrain: Three 50,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; 300-ton
hyperdrive; two 120,000-lb. contragrav generators; 9,000-kW fusion
  reactor; 108,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 2 CCS, cabin. Cargo: 600 cf.

Equipment:
  Body: Two extreme-range gravity-ripple communicators; two 100-mile
AESAs; two 300-lightsecond FTL radars; two 300-mile thermographs;
100-mile radscanner; 60-lightsecond FTL emergence detector;
60-lightsecond FTL scan detector; two x200 astronomical LLTVs; set of
precision navigation instruments; two IFF; two inertial navigation
systems; three C7 hardened minicomputers; two terminals; compact fire
suppression system; cyberswarm hive (contragrav flyer, rechargeable AA
cell, repair swarm); ten cryonic capsules; two forcelocks; 6-man total
life system; grav unit. External: Radiation shielding; 300-sf solar
cells.

Volume: 3,000 cf Maint.: 8 man-hours Price: $2,864,400

HT: 12. HPs: 2,250 Body

aSpeed: 1,935 aAccel: 50 aDecel: 16 aMR: 4 aSR: 4

sAccel: 2.5 G sMR: 2.5 FTL Speed: 2 parsec per day

Design Notes
Body is 3,000 cf, with underbelly skids, very good streamlining, and
lifting body. Structure is cheap, medium. Armor is cheap metal. Sealed.
Computerized controls with duplicate maneuver controls. 0.8 cf of empty
space. Empty weight is 48,000 lbs. (including the cryo-sleepers and 500
lbs. of personal luggage).
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], Robots, VXi, and VXii (including the armor
volume rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: Another big one.
